Former Glee Star Naya Rivera looks "ashamed" in her mugshot following her shocking arrest this weekend.

Rivera and Dorsey have a 2-year-old son together.

On Saturday night, police were called to an address in Chesapeake for a domestic violence complaint, according to a statement posted online by the Kanwaha County Sheriff's Office.

Cell phone video of the assault was given to Kanawha County Sheriff's Office deputies after the incident, according to WSAZ-TV.

Meanwhile, Naya Rivera says she plans to hire an attorney as domestic battery carries a maximum of a year in prison and a fine of up to $500.

Video from WCHS Eyewitness News in Charleston, W.V., which originally broke the news, shows Rivera in handcuffs while being arraigned.

She was picked up by her father-in-law after being charged with a misdemeanor and released on bond.

The couple share a two-year-old son, Josey.

Ryan Dorsey is a fellow actor, and has made appearances in Southland and You're the Worst.

California native Rivera found fame after being cast as cheerleader Santana Lopez on Fox's high school musical series Glee in 2009.
