The dispute between Apple and Qualcomm has deepened, with the latter company firing off three new lawsuits claiming infringement of its patents.

The back and forth legal battle between Apple and Qualcomm picked up some steam during the last two days.

There are more lawsuits filed by Apple and Qualcomm against each other in the dispute over patents. As per the claims, the company is violating eight or more patents related to power management. The intellectual property involved is related to cellular connectivity, power efficiency, and 3D imagery on the Apple iPhone 7, Apple iPhone 7 Plus, Apple iPhone 8, Apple iPhone 8 Plus and the Apple iPhone X. "Qualcomm's paid advertising makes wildly inflated claims about its role in the development of the smartphone, but the facts show that it was Apple that put an easy-to-use computer-phone in the palm of people's hands, not Qualcomm".

Other alleged patent violations include the functionality to respond to a call with a text instead of answering, the ability to refocus the camera by tapping on the screen and the idea to drag multiple uses out of the power button including ending a call.

"You can't react that quickly to file lawsuits", said Rosenberg.

"Apple began seeking those patents years before Qualcomm began seeking the patents it asserts against Apple in this case", Apple wrote in its filing. But both Apple and Qualcomm can afford a long and tedious court battle, especially the former.
