President Trump hints Joe Scarborough should be investigated for murder over intern's 2001 death

MSNBC "Morning Joe" host Joe Scarborough went on a rant Thursday morning about President Donald Trump being "mentally unstable" and called out Secretary of Defense James Mattis and other members of Trump's cabinet for not taking action.

Trump wrote, "So now that Matt Lauer is gone when will the Fake News practitioners at NBC be terminating the contract of Phil Griffin?" Trump said. "And will they terminate low ratings Joe Scarborough based on the "unsolved mystery" that took place in Florida years ago?"

Inquiries to Joe Scarborough were not returned on Wednesday morning.

Scarborough responded to Trump's tweet on Wednesday, saying the president was "not well".

Lori Klausutis died at the age of 28 in an incident that police called a result of a pre-existing heart condition that caused her to collapse, hitting her head on Scarborough's desk. "This is all we're going to say on the matter".

Trump's temperament has been the centre of attention in the past couple of days after he retweeted three tweets from the deputy leader of the far-right group, Britain First. "Joe and I are not intimidated and his freakish behavior contravenes both the Constitution and basic moral judgment".
