Cops Eye Tinder Date in Nebraska Woman's Death

It was the last time friends would hear from Loofe, who went on a date with a woman she'd met on Tinder but didn't turn up for work the next day, police say, per the Washington Post. The 24-year-old Lincoln woman was reported missing on November 16, one day after she apparently went on a date with a woman in nearby Wilber she met through the online dating app, the Lincoln Journal Star reports.

Authorities are also continuing to speak with Aubrey Trail and Bailey Boswell, two persons of interest in the case.

Loofe's body was discovered Monday afternoon in a rural area about 90 miles southwest of her home in Lincoln.

Without elaborating, Bliemeister said law enforcement does believe there is evidence of foul play and will continue with the search of the area and collecting pathology evidence.

Loofe's death comes after multiple agencies, including the F.B.I., assisted in the search.

Last night Sydney's parents issued a Facebook post asking, "Please continue to pray for Sydney and our entire family".

"We believe that it's Sydney", he said.

Ms Loofe had posted a Snapchat image before the meeting with an emoji and caption: "Ready for my date".

Loofe vanished November 15 after going out with a 23-year-old woman named Bailey Boswell.

"By their own statements on social media, we believe that Aubrey Trail and Bailey Boswell were two of the last people to see her before her disappearance", Bliemeister said.

Both Boswell and Trail have been in police custody since Friday on unrelated charges.

In an earlier video, Boswell claimed she and Loofe drove around Lincoln then smoked marijuana at her apartment in Wilber before she dropped Loofe off at a friend's house. The pair, who have warrants out on unrelated charges, were contacted by authorities last week after releasing a freaky Facebook video, in which they said the police was smearing them by calling them persons of interest. Sydney's cell phone last pinged there. No one has been charged, although authorities found two persons of interest who released a freaky Facebook video last week. Police released several photos of Trail and Boswell to help locate them.

"She was a very sweet girl, very loving", he said.

Trail said on his video that he "wasn't running from anything".

He explained they made the announcement about the body because they wanted to make a timely notification to Loofe's family.

"We're not trying to defend anything", Trail said, according to the World-Herald.
