Jerry Van Dyke, the famed comedian and younger brother of actor Dick Van Dyke, died Friday afternoon, according to the New York Times. No cause of death was immediately reported.

Jerry's best known for his role on "Coach". where he earned 4 Emmy nominations playing Asst.

Jerry Van Dyke was a popular comedian from Danville, Illinois. he made his television premiere on his brother's show, "The Dick Van Dyke Show". He was also a regular performer on The Judy Garland Show before going on to star as Dave Crabtree in the short-lived My Mother the auto, which ran from 1965-1966. He also played in Las Vegas, at Playboy Clubs, and on cruise ships in a stage show in the 60s.
