“Black Widow” Film Enlists Screenwriter Jac Schaeffer

We're here to report that nothing's really changed on that front, but we do, at least, have a Variety article quoting "sources" that reveals a writer for the yet to be greenlit film.

It also claim that some of Marvel's execs have met up with Johansson to discuss what they would want from a writer for the movie.

"Acer announces their latest 11" Chromebook ahead of CES 2018
Built on lightweight design in focus, the new Chromebook 11 is of 2.43 pounds in weight and the thickness of mere 0.71 inches. Meanwhile, its CB311-8H counterpart will use the same LCD panel, but rely on the trackpad for control instead of touch.

A Black Widow feature film starring Scarlett Johansson is early development at Marvel Studios with the hiring of screenwriter Jac Schaeffer, according to Variety.

The film is not now greenlit, but obviously picking a writer is a step in that direction. Black Widow was first featured in 2010's "Iron Man 2" and has since appeared in many Marvel's films, including "The Avengers" films, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and "Captain America: Civil War". She wrote the 2014 Blacklist pick "The Shower", a female-centric sci-fi action comedy with Anne Hathaway attached to star and produce, as well as "Nasty Women", a remake of "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" at MGM set to star Hathaway and Rebel Wilson. Additionally, Schaeffer wrote, directed, and produced the 2009 movie TiMER as he theatrical debut. Schaeffer's most recent scriptwriting credit is the Disney short Olaf's Frozen Adventure, which played before screenings of Pixar's newest animated movie Coco.

Wendy Williams DISSES Kylie Jenner AND Her Unborn Baby!!
Kylie Jenner is reportedly considering a move to New York City after going "through a very dark time" in recent months. She's even radically downplayed her social media usage; the most significant catalyst because of her fame.

Still, after years of paying lip service to the idea of a Black Widow solo movie, Marvel is finally opening up its checkbook to explore the project, which is the first step towards a movie actually happening. Where we go beyond that are ongoing discussions that we'll focus on in the next few years because we have a lot to do before then... We think Scarlett Johansson's portrayal of her is unbelievable. And it's very possible that what she turns in either doesn't work, or gets rewritten by someone else.
