34 years after the original Karate Kid came out (can you believe it's been that long?) and YouTube Red has dropped the first teaser trailer for the long-awaited TV series sequel, Cobra Kai. Take a look at the teaser above for a first look. Looking for a way to regain his goal and mojo, Johnny then decides to reopen the old dojo.

The almost fifty-second video offers the first look at "The Karate Kid" sequel series which is set 30 years after the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament. Under the tutelage of their apartment complex's eccentric maintenance man Mr. Miyagi, Daniel learns about karate, and life, and ultimately faces and defeats Johnny in the All Valley Karate Tournament.

At this time there is really not a lot of information being released about the "Cobra Kai" series. Meanwhile, as adults both Johnny and Daniel are living the lives we assume that bullies and kind-hearted underdogs get to live - Daniel is a business man with success and a family while Johnny cleans septic tanks and is mistaken for homeless. Courtney Henggeler from the hit "Mom" will play Daniel's wife Amanda, while Mary Mouser stars as his daughter, Samantha. Ed Asner also stars, playing Johnny's stepfather. (And will Elisabeth Shue make a cameo?) It'll be a while until we find out for sure.
