Two AAP lawmakers, Prakash Jarwal and Amanatullah Khan, were arrested following the alleged incident.

"One AAP MLA Prakash Jharwal has been arrested by Delhi Police on a frivolous complaint by IAS", AAP chief Spokesperson Saurabh Bharadwaj said in a tweet.

Jarwal and another MLA, Ajay Dutt, has accused the chief secretary of using a caste slur but Delhi police - which report to the Centre - have so far not registered an FIR on their complaints. Staff at the deputy CM's office said he had been working and meeting officers from the education and Value-Added Tax departments.

Meanwhile, IAS association is Delhi on Tuesday held a candle light protest march at Raj Ghat against the alleged man handling of the Delhi CS. "It will be a very risky situation if Delhi goes towards administrative paralysis", he said.
