Activists are using Black Panthers, the superhero of the recent Marvel film of the same name, which stars a almost all-black cast as a chance to increase the voter registration of the African-Americans.

It was [almost the ending]. We went back and forth about the United Nations, and we had a version where it was the United Nations before the scenes in Oakland at the end. One rule we had was we didn't want any dummies in this movie. And it came back to that symmetry, and it came back to the most moving version of it. It's meaty, it's different, and it's flawless for new readers just coming to the world of T'Challa and Black Panther. But you can't have a Shuri movie without T'Challa and you can't have a Shuri movie without Ramonda and Nakia and the rest of the Dora Milaje and Okoye. What's special about the ending is that before we cut to the end titles, there is a lovely exchange of words between a young African American kid and T'Challa.

Black Panther is now playing in theaters. Black Panther is a massive achievement for representation in the same way that Wonder Woman was past year, and most importantly, the film totally delivered, so much so that we have a whole list's worth of exciting and cool moments to talk about.
