Mary J. Blige, Common, Sufjan Stevens and more to perform at Oscars

The two Grammy-winning artists are on a star-studded list of performers that includes Andra Day, Miguel, Sufjan Stevens and others.

The producers of the forthcoming Oscars telecast announced Friday the musicians who will perform songs nominated for Academy Awards.

Blige will sing "Mighty River" from her Netflix original movie Mudbound. She's also nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the same film. Stevens, who has multiple songs featured on the Call Me by Your Name soundtrack, will be giving "Mystery of Love" the Oscars treatment.

It was penned by EGOT champ Robert Lopez and his wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez and will be sung by Gael García Bernal, Grammy nominee Natalia LaFourcade and Grammy victor Miguel.

Blige, Andra Day, Natalia LaFourcade, Miguel, Keala Settle, Sufjan Stevens and Oscar victor Common will perform this year's nominated songs at the 90th Oscars ceremony, show producers Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd announced Friday.

There's not a strong history of indie rockers performing at the Oscars, simply because they aren't often nominated for Best Original Song.

This year's nominations were announced last month, with Guillermo Del Toro's The Shape of Water in the lead with 13 nominations. He co-wrote this new song with nine-time Oscar nominee Diane Warren.
