Greenwich's Hope Hicks to Resign from Trump White House

Hope Hicks, one of US President Donald Trump's longest-serving aides, is resigning from her job as White House communications director.

The 29-year-old Hicks made the sudden announcement a day after she testified before a House Intelligence Committee investigating Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

During the nine-hour interview, Ms Hicks acknowledged that she had occasionally told "white lies" for Mr Trump, but she said she had not lied about anything relevant to the Russian Federation investigation.

Hicks, a longtime aide to President Trump, has been considering leaving the White House for months, according to The New York Times, which broke the story.

Trump lauded Hicks for her performance, saying she has done "great work" during her time at the White House.

For now, The King and his Cavaliers will have to take that L for another 35 days until both of these teams meet again. The 76ers held on from there to produce their first win after losses to Washington and Miami .

"She may come back in, she may not", he said, adding it will not matter in terms of Trump's re-election messaging. "I will miss having her by my side". "We are not aware of any campaign representatives that were in touch with any foreign entities before yesterday, when Mr. Trump spoke with many world leaders", Hicks said to the Times then.

But Ms Hicks has kept a remarkably low profile in the job.

One Hollywood insider told us landing Hicks would be a "huge asset" because of her recent experience dealing with huge public relations issues on a global stage.

Hicks was a constant presence at Trump's side, and was there for moments that are reportedly a source of interest in special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 campaign and possible collusion with the Trump campaign. Hicks was dating Porter at the time.

"Her departure is to be determined but it will be sometime in the next few weeks", it said. Porter was ultimately forced to resign.

Press Secretary Sarah Sanders tweeted that Hicks was "in a league of her own" and no one could fill her shoes.
