British Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn was condemned by members of parliament on Tuesday for attending a Passover Seder hosted by a far-left Jewish group that is vociferously critical of Israel, the latest in a string of incidents embroiling the embattled leader.
The Labour leader's office confirmed he attended a gathering in his Islington North constituency organised by a radical Jewish group called Jewdas to mark the religion's feast day of Seder.
Jewdas has also hosted a fringe-left alternative to the popular Birthright Trips to Israel, dubbing its trips to Spain "Birthwrong".
However, he criticised Mr Corbyn for meeting the group "in his first act towards the Jewish community" since his organisation had written to the leader regarding anti-Semitism, because Jewdas had called the letter a "cynical plot".
A spokesman for the Labour leader confirmed Mr Corbyn had attended the Seder event, a ritual service held on Passover, in a personal capacity and not on behalf of the party.
Labour MP John Woodcock, a leader in the Labour Friends of Israel group, said Corbyn's attendance was "irresponsible and risky".
Kim views S. Korea pop stars
He was also seen talking to members of Red Velvet, who have more than 4.6 million followers on Instagram. The most recent event was Kim's visit this week to China, on the invitation of president Xi Jinping.
"The leader of the Labour party, you believe needs to go on a training and education programme in order to educate himself about anti-semitism".
'And he must know that meeting them now will give his members the message that the group's extreme views are OK'.
Jewdas shrugged off the criticism, posting a Twitter message saying: Great that there's so much interest in our work tonight!
Corbyn has vowed he would will tolerate "any" anti-Semitism in the party.
The group added: We are proud to be Jews and proud of everyone who attended, whether they were Jewish or not. Please feel free to make a donation!'
Later, the party's new general secretary Jennie Formby will start her role to ensure allegations of anti-Semitism are dealt with effectively.

A Labour candidate in Kent has been dropped from the party after allegedly sharing posts on Facebook deemed to have been anti-Semitic. Change is coming. Revolution will come'.
In the recording, attendees at the Jewdas event can be heard booing the name of Jonathan Arkush, chairman of the Board of Deputies, the official body representing Britain's Jewish community, the report said.
But Mr Corbyn faced criticism by the Campaign Against Antisemitism.
Sir David claimed Labour's "constant protestations that they will not tolerate anti-Semitism" within the party are "so blatantly countered in reality by their failure to expel Labour Party members who have engaged in the most ugly and grotesque accusations and characterisations and the kind of fantasies that became all too common in the '30s in Germany". They are just Jews who disagree with other Jews.
Blair served as British Prime Minister between 1997-2007, and led the Labor party for 13 years.
Mr Corbyn says one thing and yet his support for the now notorious East End mural by a graffiti artist that portrayed Jewish bankers playing Monopoly on the back of naked slaves suggests that for all his warm words expressed in the Black Country yesterday his political convictions on the issue are relatively new found.
