Seattle could still bring Kaepernick in; the decision is not final.
The Seattle Seahawks scheduled a workout this week with quarterback Colin Kaepernick but postponed it after Kaepernick would not assure the team that he wouldn't kneel during the playing of the national anthem. He was deposed by the NFL's lawyers in that lawsuit on Tuesday. The Times also said the Seahawks wanted to know Kaepernick's plans on pursuing activism off the field. However, the trip was canceled over the last-minute stipulation regarding Kaepernick's protests during the anthem.
In a flawless world - but one that's interpreted differently for each person - no NFL player would kneel on the sideline during the national anthem.
Kaepernick has been out of a job since the end of the 2016 season, with no team picking him up after the quarterback parted ways with the San Francisco 49ers. For starters, I think teams have a right to assess the level of, for lack of a better word, distraction that would come attached to signing Kaepernick.
Yemen's Houthi rebels fire ballistic missile at Saudi capital
Yemen's Al Masirah TV, controlled by the Houthis, reported that the missile was targeting a Saudi Aramco facility in the city. Saudi Arabia's air defense forces intercepted a missile over Riyadh on Wednesday, state media reports .
At this point, I honestly think players might be better served by following the National Basketball Association model.
Kaepernick is not the only player rumored to be facing a blowback for participating in the protest.
He hasn't had a workout with any National Football League teams since becoming a free agent.
49ers LB Reuben Foster charged with felony domestic violence
The 28-year-old woman was taken to the hospital and treated for her injuries that included bruises and a ruptured eardrum. San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster was reportedly charged with three felonies stemming from a February arrest .
He started all 16 games for the 49ers in 2013, finishing the year with a 12-4 record a year after he helped lead them to Super Bowl XLVII where they ultimately lost to the Baltimore Ravens, 34-31.
Colin Kaepernick, once considered one of the brightest upcoming stars in the NFL, has not taken a snap in the league since New Years Day in 2017.
McNair was infamously quoted in an ESPN report as suggesting the league should crack down on protests because "we can't have the inmates running the prison". And the team's No. 2 last season, Austin Davis, is a free agent.
The former Pro Bowler safety previously said he is not planning on protesting in 2018. During his visit, owner Mike Brown would question Reid about his anthem protests.
Outgoing Volkswagen Boss Mueller May Stay On In Other Post
VW's statement didn't specify whether the planned changes meant replacing Mr Mueller or simply a shift in responsibilities. The idea is reportedly to start fresh after the latest round of scandals related to diesel vehicle emissions.
"This is an interesting story on a lot of different levels".
