The cancelation of Brooklyn Nine-Nine by Fox sent shockwaves across the internet, as fans of the incredible comedy series took to the (virtual) streets in demand of its renewal.

Rumours started to swirl that another network would pick the show up for a sixth season immediately following its cancellation.

We jumped on it really quickly and are thrilled to have it and think it fits into our brand of comedy in many ways better than it fit into Fox's brand of comedy.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine", which was Fox's highest-rated live-action comedy series this season among adults 18-49, is produced by Universal Television, Fremulon, Dr. Goor Productions and 3 Arts.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" will air midseason, but Greenblatt said the network has not figured out exactly where it will land on the schedule. Andy Samberg, meanwhile, celebrated the news on stage at NBC's morning presentation at Radio City Music Hall.

Joe Lo Truglio, who plays Charles Boyle, said it was the fans who had helped save the show. Fans were quick to raise up a storm when the news broke out, and collectively it was known that many, many people weren't happy. "This is one of the things", Miranda wrote.

Along with Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Fox also canceled The Last Man on Earth and The Mick.
