Amazon announced its Prime members in North Carolina will receive an exclusive discount at local Whole Foods Market stores starting Wednesday, June 13th.

"We're excited that Prime savings will be available at almost half of our Whole Foods Market stores this week, giving more Prime members access to great deals just in time for summer", said A.C. Gallo, President and Chief Operating Officer at Whole Foods Market. The perks program includes an extra 10% off sale items and rotating deals for members of Amazon's $119-a-year Prime membership. Whole Foods stores faced controversial food shortages just a few months ago. That means, by the end of this week, nearly half of all Whole Foods Market stores across the USA will support the initiative, according to Amazon's press release.
