Apple: Don't Mine Cryptocurrencies on an iPhone

Earlier in the year, Apple removed Calendar 2 from the Mac App Store because the app would offer mining cryptocurrency on devices in exchange for premium features.

Preventing cryptocurrency mining is crucial on iOS because this untethered mining operations can easily overheat or destroy batteries -or even devices if the battery case deforms, leaks, or catches fire.

Macron, who appeared to have built a warm relationship, said the "G6" leaders would not spark a fight at the summit. Trump said he pushed for the elimination of trade barriers, including subsidies and tariffs, at the G-7 meeting.

Apple's recently updated developer guidelines include a message meant to ward off would-be cryptocurrency miners. "Apps, including any third party advertisements displayed within them, may not run unrelated background processes, such as cryptocurrency mining", the new guideline reads. It should be noted that the upcoming smartphones such as HTC Exodus and the Sirin Finney that support Blockchain will also not be able to have power to handle cryptocurrency mining.

The update also attempts to halt rising concerns referred to as phone cryptojacking.

(Kitco News) - Tech giant Apple has taken a major step against cryptocurrencies by outlawing digital mining on all of its devices, including iPhones, iPads, iMacs, MacBook Pros, and others. Section 2.4.2 of Hardware Compatibility now states, "Design your app to use power efficiently". Similarly, apps involved in initial coin offerings, bitcoin futures trading, or other cryptocurrency securities trading need to be from the banks, firms, or other approved financial institutions.

As reported earlier today, Apple's crackdown on App Store privacy bans applications that "collect information about which other apps are installed on a user's device for the purposes of analytics or advertising/marketing".
