Comey wrote an opinion piece for The New York Times in which he said he disagreed with some conclusions but respected the watchdog's work.

Trump has repeatedly claimed that Comey's investigation into Clinton was "phony and dishonest", claims that have now been shot down by his own administration.

The inspector general's report was originally expected in May, and earlier this month, Trump questioned on Twitter whether its publication had been delayed because the findings were "being changed and made weaker". Cases that end without charges are rarely discussed publicly.

In October 2016, less than two weeks before Election Day, Comey sent members of Congress a letter disclosing that a probe into Clinton's emails was being reopened after new emails were found.

Some of what Horowitz discovered has already been made public, and Trump and Republicans have pounced on those findings in an effort to discredit Comey and, by extension, the investigation now being run by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

That's how I want to leave the game. "I know when I took this job I thought we could be really good", Kerr said. Myers also made it clear that the team will focus mainly on re-signing Durant this offseason.

But it also says, "We found no evidence that the conclusions by the prosecutors were affected by bias or other improper considerations; rather, we determined that they were based on the prosecutors' assessment of the facts, the law and past department practice". It should shy from making statements about people not charged with crimes, and major announcements should be vetted carefully through the Justice Department hierarchy.

The president "is really anxious to see the report", said a person familiar with the planned Thursday briefing.

The FBI add a warning banner to all of the FBI's mobile phones and devices in order to further notify users that they have no reasonable expectation of privacy.

The report sharply criticized Comey for violating Justice Department policies and accused him of usurping the authority of then Attorney General Loretta Lynch when in July 2016 he announced there would be no charges against Clinton for her email use as secretary of state.

The Inspector General also examined whether FBI employees leaked information about investigations of the Clinton Foundation charitable organization and emails in a bid to help Mr Trump's campaign.

Pompeo says United States is willing to 'make security assurances' to North Korea
White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said United States and North Korean officials would hold working-level talks on Monday. He could be seen speeding through Singapore on Sunday in a black limousine adorned with large North Korean flags.

Strzok's and Page's names first made headlines a year ago, when it emerged that they exchanged several text messages that demonstrated pro-Clinton and anti-Trump political views.

The FBI conducted an investigation and stated that there was no reason to bring Clinton to justice.

On the other hand, Republicans have accused the Federal Bureau of Investigation leadership of being part of an Obama administration plot to delegitimize Trump's election through surveillance of campaign advisers and using an informant to provide grounds for it. The Republican National Committee previewed its response Wednesday, issuing a press release with these headlines: "Lyin' Comey Is About To Sink Even Lower". I'm not going to lie, I got a flash of nervousness yesterday about trump.

He later headed a separate probe into the Trump campaign's alleged ties to Russian Federation. Comey has defended himself at length in his book and during interviews, but look for how the inspector general treats his admission that a belief Clinton would win the election subconsciously influenced his actions.

The inspector general rejected this characterization "a false dichotomy" and said "the two doors were actually labeled "follow policy/practice" and 'depart from policy/practice'".
