Yesterday, Epic Games announced that Fortnite had officially hit the ridiculous milestone of having 125 million players in less than a year. After some initial hiccups, I found the game runs well, though it's a bit of a combination of the mobile and console versions.
Epic didn't provide any information regarding what gaming platforms the World Cup would be played on or any of the rules for the event.
However, not much information has been made public by the developer in regards to esports competition, including events, private match capability, and more. As is customary with Nintendo's Switch presentations, a series of people are then shown playing Fortnite while out and about, showing off the ability to "play anywhere".
Regarding the graphics, PUBG's world is fairly realistic, compared to the very colorful environment from Fortnite. Qualifications will be based on merit, and Epic will not sell teams or franchises, or allow third-party leagues to do so, either.
IG Report: Comey’s Handling of Clinton Investigation ‘Negatively Impacted’ FBI

Neither Sony nor Epic Games responded to a request for comment.

As with highly competitive games runs by highly competitive game publishers, Fortnite is getting its own tourney with a $100,000,000 prize pool.
We presume this "free" version of Fortnite is the Battle Royale edition served up on all the other platforms without cost. Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime promised "the full Fortnite experience" to players.
At one point, the slow play even elicited a call for a format change from broadcaster Kassie "Gloom" Isabelle.
