Nobody likes the queen to be kept waiting, but it looked like that happened for a brief moment when Queen Elizabeth met Donald and Melania Trump at Windsor Castle on Friday.

Ahead of his meeting with Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle this afternoon, protestors swamped Oxford Street bearing signs emblazoned with apt messages such as: "Feed him to the corgis".

There were handshakes all around, and then the threesome stood side-by-side as a military band played the American national anthem.

Mr Trump also displayed hand movements of "suppressed dominance" as he tried to steer the Queen.

Leo Murray, an activist who organized the blimp, told CNN the giant balloon had been created to speak to Trump "in a language that he understands, which is personal insults".

Sparks fly in Federal Bureau of Investigation agent's Trump testimony
If you have a problem with this policy, you should take it up with the Federal Bureau of Investigation - not badger Mr. They would not tolerate any improper behavior in me any more than I would tolerate it in them.

US President Donald Trump was invited to inspect the Coldstream Guards at Windsor Castle, accompanied by Her Majesty the Queen.

The first lady wore a pale pink two-piece ensemble with her hair pulled back for the occasion; the queen was in a blue coat.

We may never know if Trump was actually late, or if the queen has a habit of checking her watch, but we should point out that it's interesting how no other members of the royal family appeared at the visit with the United States president.

While Trump typically likes to take the lead, he appeared to follow the queen's direction, adjusting his pace to hers.

Trump said May could not now walk away from negotiations with Brussels "because if she walks away she's stuck".

Croatia erupts in joy over historic final
But that wouldn't deter the Duke of Cambridge from supporting his team as they take on Croatia in Wednesday's semi-final. With such a modest population, they are the smallest country to get to a World Cup final since Uruguay back in 1950.

Queen Elizabeth's tea for the Trumps was due to last 25 minutes according to the White House's schedule, the last part of their official visit.

"Whatever anybody thinks of President Trump, America is our closest and most important ally in the world".

"He did literally eclipse her, but I don't think that was deliberate".

"You could see that suppressed dominance where he felt that he had to still motion to her. She is just an incredible woman", Trump told The Sun newspaper.

He also talked about how his mother, who was born in Scotland, loved the royal family and all things pomp and pageantry. HRH has met with every sitting president since ascending to the throne in 1952, with the exception of Lyndon Johnson.
