The 2015 agreement curbed Iran's nuclear program in return for lifting most global sanctions.

A second round of sanctions targeting Iran's oil imports and energy and petrochemicals industries are scheduled to come into effect on 4 November. The Iranian rial has fallen to 99,000 to the USA dollar despite a government-imposed rate of 44,000.
