Never one to turn his back on a potential Twitter fight, Musk fired back, making a thinking-face-emoji insinuation about why Unsworth never sued him, despite being offered free legal services. "According to a subsequent Twitter post, you did so out of anger", Wood wrote, adding that he was "preparing a civil complaint for libel".
"You don't think it's unusual he hasn't sued me?" he tweeted in response to a tweet suggesting Musk's "dedication to facts and truth would have been wonderful if applied to that time when you called someone a pedo". "I don't think a CEO should be on Twitter; I would have hoped that would have been the lesson".
"Have you actually done any research at all?" he said.
White House flag lowered again for McCain
Just a day after announcing he would be discontinuing treatment for an aggressive brain cancer , Senator John McCain died at 81. McCain was a frequent critic of President Trump on everything from his leadership style to his Russian Federation policy.
Unsworth had criticised a mini-submarine that Musk had delivered for the rescue as impractical and said he could "stick [it] where it hurts".
He also said the submarine wouldn't have been able to navigate the complex tunnels of the Tham Luang cave complex, adding Mr Musk was not needed and was asked to leave.
The controversy is one of several that Musk has found himself in lately as a result of his Twitter exploits.
In response to Musk's most recent tweets, Unsworth told Sky News that he couldn't comment, but did note, "It's all being dealt with, that's all I can say".
Obama remembers Senator McCain: 'All of us can aspire to his courage'
The Vietnam War veteran represented Arizona in the Senate and House of Representatives for 35 years. Aide says senator, war hero and GOP presidential candidate McCain died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018.
He ended the exchange by suggesting that Olanoff was not a "truth-seeker" because he didn't investigate why Unsworth hadn't sued Musk.
But Musk's decision to continue to respond to critics on Twitter indicates he won't change easily, said Charles Elson, a University of DE finance professor who specializes in corporate governance.
They culminated in a post that described Mr Unsworth as a "pedo guy" and a follow-up saying "bet ya a signed dollar it's true".
"He's not going to become a typical CEO, so the question is whether he's going to make statements that run afoul of securities laws", said Ken Bertsch, an executive director at the Council of Institutional Investors, a trade group that represents public pension funds that own Tesla shares.
Champions League World-class defender comments on Chelsea's controversial penalty
On Newcastle's new players Joselu said "We've signed good players and for some players it is their first games". I would say that as a defender if you go to ground in the box, then you are giving yourself a problem.
In July, Unsworth told the Guardian he was considering taking legal against Musk.
