Leicester: England manager Gareth Southgate recognised his side have vast room for improvement despite bouncing back from three consecutive defeats as a much-changed team edged past Switzerland for a 1-0 friendly win thanks to Marcus Rashford's victor.
Gareth Southgate has expressed frustration about Phil Foden's lack of first-team involvement for Manchester City and warned England's senior players they can not expect to keep their places if they are not involved more regularly for their club sides.
Southgate, the England manager, has been working with Rashford on his movement, particularly on using his prodigious pace to break into the box to meet crosses.
Marcus Rashford is ahead of where Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Kane were at his age - but needs to be made to feel "important". Since 2015 he has played 175 matches and he's struggling.

Williams was docked a game Saturday and went on to lose the championship to Japan's Naomi Osaka . Don't you worry about me", the 47-year-old is quoted as saying in the newspaper.
Southgate did not take issue when it was put to him that Loftus-Cheek and Delph looked rusty in the 1-0 win over Switzerland at Leicester on Tuesday.
"Some of the stepovers and things Ronaldo was doing at that age, he wasn't converting them into the number of goals, so we have got to give him time to develop".
"They have huge competition for places and I know Jose thinks the world of Marcus".
Rashford visibly grew in confidence after scoring the goal and Manchester United fans will hope this helps the young striker find form with a busy month of Premier League and Champions League action looming. He's got huge competition for places at his club, so you can understand that (frustration).

He's had a minor strain but I think he should be fine for his club this weekend. But it was quite calm by the time we got in there.
"He's going to be going back into matches at his club", said Southgate.
Rashford subsequently went to Euro 2016 as England's boy wonder but only played a cameo role in that tournament and was then largely a substitute at this summer's World Cup.
"We were trying to correct one or two things but also challenge them a bit, it was an important night for us to finish well and we knew it would be hard because of the changes and amount of game time, but I'm really pleased because the players have given everything this week".
